But there seems a much aggravation about its release on time. Any specific reasons? Well, it’s due to the ever mounting ripples of recent ‘Uri’ attack that have forced the owners of theaters not to screen films of Pakistani artists in India. For quite a long time, (post Uri attack), the move was under consideration.

It’s a perfect example to see how real life affects ‘reel’ life. As we all know, Pakistani actor ‘Fawad Khan’s’ upcoming movie ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ is all set to release.

Genre:                         Romance & Drama
Released Date:        October 28, 2016 (worldwide)
Directed By:              Karan Johar
Written By:              Karan Johar
Duration:                94 minutes
Casts:                       Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan

‘Nitin Datar’, who’s the honourable president of COEAI (Cinema Owners and Exhibitors Association of India) presented his views after a thorough meeting with other associates. They unanimously decided not to screen any such film in which Pakistani actors are involved.

The meeting they had with other associates concluded with a common note which is to work in favour of patriotism and national interest.

This is simply because our country comes first before anything else. Therefore, it was decided by all member exhibitors to refrain screening such movies of all Pakistani artists in India.

They also concluded with another note saying that we’re already in the process of requesting other associates connected with the film industry to work and support our sentiments.

So, it would be the best if you all support the decision taken in the best interest of the country.

There are different aspects of the decision that are going to ignite. For example, they sensed a general feeling that by not allowing certain movies to screen would only attract monetary losses, but the greatest damage would come to surface if their screens get vandalized.

The Uri attack that happened last month, became the reason to target some Pakistani artists in India like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, etc. by MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena).

They, in fact, issued a warning to leave the country within 48 hours or be ready to force out. Not only this, the party also decided to stall the release of Fawad Khan’s latest release ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and ‘Raees’.

Soon after the decision taken by the MNS, a similar decision was also floated by IMPPA (Indian Motion Picture Producers Association) to ban all Pakistani artists in India till the situation across the Indo-Pak border gets improved or normalized.

However, they further quoted that the films that have already been completed would not get affected by the decision made.

The film also stars some other leading actors of the industry including Anushka Sharma, Ranbir Kapoor and Aishwarya Rai. This film is speculated to clash with Ajay Devgan’s ‘Shivaay’ (releasing this diwali on October 28).
