TIFF 2023: Renowned filmmaker Karan Johar has praised Priyanka Chopra who joined the premiere of the film KILL. The film has been co-produced by him. he was speaking on the occasion of Toronto International Film Festival 2023 (TIFF).
While speaking on the prestigious occasion at the ET Canada, he mentioned the name of Priyanka Chopra whose graph is rising high in Hollywood. He described her journey as “fantastic.”
TIFF 2023: Karan Johar Praises Priyanka Chopra’s Hollywood Success
On the ET Canada event where Karan Johar arrived, a few questions raised about the transformation of Priyanka Chopra. To this Karan replied with a positive frame of mind.
Karan Johar simply admired the remarkable success of Priyanka Chopra from Bollywood to Hollywood. He liked her ability to overcome all hurdles in her career and managed to shape her achivements.
This is what he said, “To see her (Priyanka Chopra) grow from strength to strength, and truly achieve the kind of success that she has on her terms… and the way she has gone about it, she is always wonderful on every platform that she has ever been on, everything that she ever stands for and represents… it is fantastic.”
It’s not new when Karan Johar priased Priyanka Chopra’s professional journey. It was early this year when the actress shared her experience in Bollywood and also gave reasons to join Hollywood.
In her interview, the actress spoke about various hurdles she had to face in the industry along with her experiences that actually influenced her decision to seek new horizons in Hollywood.
This is what she said, “I was being pushed into a corner in the industry (Bollywood). I had people not casting me, I had beef with people, I am not good at playing that game so I kind of was tired of the politics and I said I needed a break.”
On the work front, Priyanka Chopra was last seen in Russo Brothers’ Citadel. The film premiered on Prime Video on April 28, 2023. It will soon showcase its second part soon.
Priyanka Chopra was spotted with Richard Madden in the above series. Citadel is basically a web series created by Russo Brothers. The actress was also seen in Love Again.
Priyanka Chopra announced her next film titled Heads Of State, co-starring Idris Elba and John Cena.
