The Witcher Season 2: Plot
What’s going to be the plot of The Witcher Season two? Well, nothing can be said at the moment. But if you look at the season one, it was entirely based on ‘Sword of Destiny’ and ‘The Last Wish’. These are the first two collections of short stories and will be based on ‘The Witcher Saga’.
Now, it is being expected that the second season of the web series is going to be based on the official book in The Witcher Saga titled ‘Blood of Elves’.

The Witcher Season 2: Production Details
The Witcher is such a web series made on graphics and also has a pretty cool scenery.
It was in January 2020 when The Witcher tweeted that Netflix is expected to build an entire town for the web series at Arborfield Studios, UK. The source says that they have so far produced the web series in many countries like Budapest, Hungary and Scotland.
It was in February 2020 when the filming was actually started. But after running for a month, it took a halt in March 2020 mainly due to pandemic. After the gap, the makers again started filming the project from August 17, 2020.
On Nov 3, 2020, Henry Cavill wrote on Instagram, “England returns to Lockdown on Thursday so it is time for me to depart Yorkshire and The extraordinary North, and head back down South to continue shooting in the studio. Thank you for hosting all of us on season 2 of The Witcher. Hopefully, I shall return to your hills, dales and fells soon. Stay strong and stay safe, my friends.”
The production of the series again had to be halted as Henry Cavill was injured who suffered a minor injury in his leg muscle. Finally, the filming of the show was wrapped up in May 2021.

Looking at the desperation among fans regarding the web series, the makers have released its release date that falls on December 17, 2021. On the occasion of WitcherCon virtual event held in July 2021, Netflix finally confirmed that ‘The Witcher’ season two will premiere on Netflix on Dec 17, 2021.

As per the update, most of the cast members of The Witcher Season 2 are going to come back for the second season.

The Witcher Season 2 Trailer
It was in the month of July when the makers decided to release a full 2 minute long teaser trailer at the WitcherCon event.
The trailer showcases Ciri (Freya Allan) and Geralt (Henry Cavill) who are seen together after a long time. They were seen searching for each other in the first season.
In the 2nd season, the couple tends to spend time at the Witcher castle ‘Kaer Morhen’. It’s the same place from where demon-hunters spend the winter and Witchers operate. on the other hand Ciri is now Witcher in training.
Again, in the month of September, Netflix chose to release yet another trailer that includes clips from season one along with some crucial glimpses from season two.
