Drake who’s a well known singer, wrapper and song writer has expressed his reaction over the recent tragedy happened during the Astroworld festival.

The unfortunate tragedy happened on November 5 in Houston when an uncontrolled crowd crush happened that led to 8 deaths and left many injured. In order to show his concern over the tragedy, he has issued a statement.

Drake is a Canadian singer who was invited as a special guest in the concert named Astroworld festival organized by Travis Scott. On Monday, Drake took to his Instagram handle to share, “I’ve spent the past few days trying to wrap my mind around this devastating tragedy. I hate resorting to this platform to express an emotion as delicate as grief but this is where I find myself.”

This is what he added, “My heart is broken for the families and friends of those who lost their lives and for anyone who is suffering. I will continue to pray for all of them, and will be of service in any way I can. May God be with you all,” he said.

On Saturday, Drake said that he was actually devastated after the incident happpened. Soon after the tragedy, this is what he posted on social media, “My prayers go out to the families and all those impacted by what happened at Astroworld Festival,”. He added further, “Houston PD has my total support as they continue to look into the tragic loss of life.”

Drake’s partner and reality TV star Kylie Jenner who was also present att he time of the tragedy happened stated that they were totally unaware of any sort of fatalities happened after the concert ended. They also said that the couple devastated to know about the lives of 8 people ended after the incident happened during Astroworld festival.

Kim Kardashian West who’s the half sister of Jenner also posted a statement on social media saying, she was “absolutely heartbroken for the lives who were lost and anyone who was hurt at Astroworld.”

The Astroworld festival was organized on Friday night where more than 50,000 people were gathered. It was first devised by Travis Scott who runs this festival every year. It was around 9 PM on the night of NRG Park. It was this time when the actual trouble started brewing. But it’s still unclear what prompted the crowd to rush to the stage where Travis Scott was performing live.

However, the authorities are now stating that they would review everything using the footage captured at that time.

After the incident, Scott has pledged pledged refunds for all ticketholders. He also said to cover the funeral costs of the families of the victims.

After the incident, a lawsuit was also filed by a Texas attorney Thomas J. Henry against Travis Scott and Drake. But Drake didn’t comment anything on lawsuit.
