Before coming to the cine world, Vani Kapoor delivered some modelling assignments. Soon after that, she signed her first Bollywood film titled ‘Shuddh Desi Romance (2013) opposite Sushant Singh Rajput and Parineeti Chopra.
The actress then moved to regional film industry where she was featured in a Tamil film ‘Aaha Kalyanam’. She managed to garner a lot of praise and appreciation that paved her way to Bollywood once again. It fetched her a role in films like War and Befikre.
But for the last few years down the line, Vaani has not delivered any projects whatsoever. But report says that she already has a series of films to be released in the time to come. The very first film in which Vaani will feature is Bell Bottom opposite Akshay Kumar.
Vaani later spoke about supporting her life right from the modelling days. At that time, her financial condition was not great but she never asked for money from his parents.
The actress was interacting with Times Now and said that she has been supporting herself from the age of 18. She said, “I’ve always supported myself and has not asked for money from anyone including my parents.”
Take a look at what she stated further, “I have been supporting myself, I haven’t taken a penny from my parents from the age of 18-19 and I have been supporting myself, I was modelling, making my own money. This was also very new territory for me, I was very clueless, I was very underconfident, I didn’t know what I am doing, I didn’t know how to go about it. But there is a certain vision one has for themselves, I had that vision and I stuck by my beliefs. So, I never really tried to short sell myself, that’s one thing I was very certain about from day one. There has been financial crunch and all, I am not very privileged where I come from an extremely affluent family. My family has gone through ups and downs as well, and I am proud that I have been able to make things work for myself, single-handedly.”
Vaani’s latest film is Bell Bottom which is expected to be a spy thriller. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 19, 2021. The actress will then feature in an action film ‘Shamshera’ opposite Ranbir Kapoor and Ayushmann Khurrana.
