One of the Akshay Kumar’s long awaiting films Sooryavanshi was earlier scheduled to release on April 2, 2021.
But the makers took the decision to postpone the release of the film due to the rising case of Covid-19 in the Maharashtra state.

The action drama is directed by Rohit Shetty and produced in the association of Hiroo Yash Johar, Aruna Bhatia, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta and Rohit Shetty.
The film stars Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in their pivotal roles. As per the latest Bollywood news, the film will now arrive to theatres only after a few weeks as planned earlier.

The source also disclosed that the formal announcement of the film will happen on Sunday along with the release of the new poster. Incidentally, March 14 happens to be the birthday of Rohit Shetty. So, it would be all fun to postpone the film to a new date.
Take a look at what the source informed, “The exhibitors have been informed about this new release date. They have been told to book screens for Sooryavanshi. The plan is to give it one of the widest releases ever for a Hindi film. The source further continued to reveal, “Yes, it’s releasing in the holy month of Ramzan but at least, it’ll have a clean run of two weeks and also get advantage of Maharashtra Day holiday on May 1. It’s a huge holiday in the state and that’s where it’s expected to do huge business.”
