Shershaah: Salman Khan Wanted to Cast Aayush Sharma to Play the Role of Shershaah Vikram Batra

Even though Sidharth Malhotra starrer Shershaah is performing well at the box office, there is a different story coming up regarding the film’s cast.

As per Shershaah producer Shabbir Boxwala, Salman Khan had consulted him about casting Aayush Sharma for the role of Shershaah Vikram Batra.

Boxwala, in his recent interview with a daily news portal revealed that by the time Salman had approached him regarding the film’s casting, he had already announced the name of Sidharth Malhotra to the family of Vikram Batra.

This is what he told to the portal, “Salman approached me at a stage when I was in talks with Junglee Pictures. He wanted Shershaah to be Aayush’s [Sharma] debut film, and wanted to partner with me on it,” he told.

But at that time, it was all arranged. The family of Vikram Batra had already got a chance to meet Sidharth regarding his role in the film.

The producer stated that it would have been highly unethical for him to drop Malhotra when Captain Batra’s family had given him all the rights. Since they showed huge trust in the producer, he didn’t want to break it at any point of time.

As per Boxwala, Salman wanted to cast his brother-in-law in the film to give him a great start in his Bollywood career.

As you might be aware, Aayush Sharma made his debut from a film titled Loveyatri. But this film couldn’t perform well at the box office. His next film will be Antim: The Final Truth. It will co-star Salman.

Meanwhile, Shershaah is receiving positive vibes from the audience. Fans are also praising the performance of Kiara Advani as well.
