As per the latest reports pouring in, film actor Vijay Sethupathi has retained the exclusive rights for the remake of the Telugu language film Uppena in the Tamil language.
The reports also say that Vijay’s son Jason is going to debut from the Uppena’s Tamil remake. He will be playing the lead antagonist in the upcoming film.
At present, the entire star cast is not finalised but as far as the role of Jason is concerned, he will be the lead antagonist in the film. Currently, Jason is studying the are of film making in Canada.
You might be thinking how it all happened. Well, it was none other than Vijay Sethupathi who had previously discussed the script with Thalapathy Vijay at the time when Master’s shooting was going on. The report also says that the latter was quite impressed after going through the script.
Buchi Babu Sana who is credited to have directed the original Telugu version of the film, he will be again directing the Tamil remake of Uppena.
The detailed cast and crew of the upcoming Tamil remake will be announced only after the end of the Covid-19 crisis.
Currently, the entire world is facing the Covid-19 pandemic where hundreds of films have been affected.
Originally, the Tamil remake of Uppena was earlier scheduled to hit the screen on April 2. But now, the release date has been postponed.
