Ram Charan and NTR Jr starrer RRR has been postponed indefinitely due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic This is an awaked situation for which nobody can be blamed.

The latest report says that makers have wasted over Rs 18 crore in promoting the film which was about to release on January 7.

Since the film has been postponed for now, it has become a great setback both for the makers as well as the audience. Sources from Hyderabad say that Rajamouli was looking super excited about the release of his film. But the situation has now gone out of control due to the pandemic and this is what has made him to back down.

The report further states that all the money invested for the promotion of the film has gone wasted. This also includes Rs 2-3 crore budget assigned for transporting fans of NTR Jr and Ramcharan to attend various promotional events outside Andhra.

This is what the source revealed, “Rajamouli is aware that his two leading men in RRR have a minimal fan following outside Andhra. For the media/marketing events in Mumbai and other cities outside, Andhra fans were flown and put up in luxury hotels. All they had to do was applaud, cheer and whistle for their demi-gods in exchange of the hospitality.”

Sources also reveal that gambit is unlikely to return money used in the promotion of the film. Reports also suggest that famous South heroes from Rajnikanth to Prabhas are more or less have been flop among Hindi speaking audience. Although, Prabhas shined in Baahubali, he was flop in other film Saaho that was meant for the Hindi speaking audience.

In the same way, Ramcharan’s Hindi debut that was a ramake of Amitabh Bachchan blockbuster Zanjeer was a huge flop.
