Top Gun: Maverick Box Office Day 1: Tom Cruise Starrer Disappoints

Top Gun: Maverick Box Office

Top Gun: Maverick Box Office Day 1: Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick couldn’t perform at the box office as expected. But the reports are going in its favor which means the film can bounce back with a good collection over the weekend.

Most industry experts believe that Top Gun: Maverick was never expected to make a great business in India. Now, if you compare it with some other films of Tom Cruise like Mission: Impossible, it managed to fare well in India.

And due to this one can’t digest a sequel of a much older film to perform well at the box office. The same actually happened with the new release of To Cruise.

One good example of a similar film that couldn’t fare well is Ghayal. The film was originally released way back in 1980’s. After looking looking at the film’s success, the makers decided to make its sequel which didn’t work in the present scenario.

Top Gun: Maverick Box Office Day 1: Tom Cruise Starrer Opens At Rs 4.75

Although, the makers expected Tom Cruise’s Top Gun: Maverick to at least take a decent start.

In terms of numbers, they expected Rs 5 crore as the opening collection. As the film is made with a huge budget, this is what makers could expect from such a star studded film.

Industry experts believe that although, Top Gun: Maverick failed to impress with its opening at the box office, the film is getting positive reviews from movie goers. Others feel that the film didn’t get as much promotion needed to make it work pretty well at the box office.

And now when the weekend is approaching, the makers will be looking at the film’s performance As of now, the film could only collect Rs 4.75 crore on day one in India.
