The movie is the adaptation of the famous novel by Chetan Bhagat and displays the ups and downs in today’s insensitive relationships.

The half girlfriend trailer shows Arjun Kapoor, who plays the character of Madhav Jha.

Although, he’s entrapped into a serious relationship, but there seems a few hurdles coming his way. Jha (to be more precise) hails from Bihar looks completely clueless about how to take his relation ahead.

Other than that he has a major drawback of not being able to speak the English language in front of Delhi crowd who’s well versed with the language.

A number of posters of Half Girlfriend have been released in the past, but this time they released the much awaiting trailer.

The Mohit Suri helmed movie is going to release on the silver screens on May 19, 2017.

The upcoming movie of Shraddha Kapoor is based on one of the bestseller novels of Chetan Bhagat that narrates the character of a stylish, educated and a wealthy girl based in Delhi.

Shraddha Kapoor plays the character of Riya Somani who’s a stylish Delhi based girl.

On the other hand, this Bihari guy by the name Madhav Jha too hails from a rich family in Bihar and doesn’t know much about basketball. He dreams to study in DU’s most prestigious St. Stephan’s college.

As Jha is unable to speak fluent English, it looks quite weird, especially in today’s perspective where a young girl and boy tend to speak a flawless English. Well, this is where Jha’s ordeals and the half girlfriend trailer start.

In spite of not able to speak fluent English, he’s completely unaware of this tragic fact.

But still, it comes out to be the least of worries. As per the half girlfriend trailer, Jha gets success in attainng the admission in the college he wanted.

The real issue for Jha comes out to be the accent. For example, he utters a few words in the Bihari accent which doesn’t sound good. For example, uttar (answer), saanjh (evening) and so on.

The momentum goes on with these dialogues that eventually fit into a seemingly complex love story between the couple.

Half girlfriend trailer intelligently tries to hide Kappor’s accent. By digging in more, it also gets a feeling of the film being an extension of Mohit Suri’s earlier movie named Ek Villain.

Well, you don’t have to witness Arjun Kapoor’s accent, but it seems his efforts of putting forced accent is paying him well.

It’s not the first time that fake accent has been introduced in the movie. In the recent past, a number of actors put forth their fake accent including Akshay Kumar in Rustom and Salman Khan in Sultan.
