Shraddha Kapoor is a famous Bollywood actor and singer. She was born on March 03, 1987 to the famous Bollywood stars Shakti Kapoor and Shivangi Kolhapure.
Shraddha has one sibling by the name Siddhant Kapoor. She is also known as the girl next door. The actress has a Punjabi descent from paternal side and follows a predominantly Marathi ancestry from her maternal side.
Shraddha has roots of Marathi origin, as she has been brought up by her maternal relatives. The actress has two aunts- Tejaswini Kolhapure and Padmini Kolhapure who are evergreen faces in the Bollywood fraternity.

Shraddha Kapoor Early life and Studies
Shraddha completed her primary education from Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai. She was then moved to the American school of Bombay at the age of 15.
After that, she was sent to the Boston University, to complete her higher studies in Psychology, but failed to do so due to her keen interest and passion towards films.
This gave her a reason to quit her studies, soon after she was selected to be featured in a Bollywood film “Teen Patti“.
The actress started her career from Teen Patti and appeared in her first leading role in a film- Luv Ka The End. The film happened to be a teen drama released in 2011.
Earlier, the actress rejected an offer from Salman Khan, who wanted her to appear in one of his films.
At that time, Shraddha ignored Salman’s offer as she wanted to concentrate on her studies. Well, she was in the race of becoming a Psychologist.

Shraddha is also a professional singer, apart from being born and brought up in a filmy background. In fact, she has been trained as a singer since childhood, as her mother and maternal grandfather were classical singers.

As the actress was keen to make her singing debut, she performed for the first time in the song Galliya from ‘Ek Villian’.
Albeit, her debut film ‘Luv Ka the End‘ couldn’t perform well at the box office, she was still praised for her performance in the film, even by the critics.

Shraddha was offered a lead role in the film Aurangzeb, but preferred to sign Aashiqui 2 (Vishesh films) instead of rejecting the existing contract.
The actress again spotted in Vikas Bharadwaj’s ‘Haider‘ where she played the role of a journalist.
The film happens to be an adaptation of Helmet (William Shakespeare) and is based on the 1995 conflict in Kashmir.

The movie explored the career path of both Vernon and Suresh of the fictitious dance brigade, who headed towards winning the most famous world dance championship in Las Vegas. The film screened Prabhu Deva as Vishnu Sir.
The next venture of Shraddha Kapoor was Baaghi, opposite Tiger Shroff. Soon after, the actress chose to play as a cameo in Flying Jatt, that was the most awaited superhero action movie of Ekta Kapoor.
The film featured Jacqueline Fernandez and Tiger Shroff in the lead roles. After that, she appeared in Rock On!! 2.
Rock On!! 2 is a sequel to the 2008 released Rock On! that starred Arjun Rampal, Farhan Akhtar and Purab Kohli where the actress played as a singer.
Her next film was Ok Jaanu that created lots of hype across the industry.
Unfortunately, the film couldn’t perform well at the box office. Ok Jaanu is the remake of the Tamil romantic saga from Mani Ratnam. After Ok Jaanu, Shraddha appeared again in ‘Half Girlfriend‘.
She appeared opposite Arjun Kapoor. Half Girlfriend is an adaptation from a novel by Chetan Bhagat, under the directorial venture of Mohit Suri.
The next film of Shraddha Kapoor was Haseena Parker where she’ appeared as the sister of the dreaded underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.
The film also starred Siddhanth Kapoor as her brother. The trailer of the film has already been launched and the actress looks promising in her new avatar.
