It all happened quite recently when Madhu Chopra recalled the unforgettable occasion when her daughter, Priyanka Chopra, clinched the Miss World title in 2000, alongside Lara Dutta and Dia Mirza, who won the Miss Universe and Miss Asia Pacific titles, respectively, all in the same year.
She shared how her young daughter declined to wear a bikini for the swimsuit roquite gracefully.

During an interview with Lehren, Madhu Chopra reminisced about the moment, saying, “Priyanka’s behavior and conduct were always exemplary, no matter the circumstances.
Even in the swimsuit round of the Miss World pageant, when they asked her to wear a two-piece, she simply said, ‘No.’ She upheld her dignity and professionalism, without making a scene. Because of that, they respected her decision.”
Mrs. Chopra also pointed out that, since Priyanka was younger back then, she got a lot of help from Lara Dutta. “Lara taught her how to drape, walk, and apply makeup by herself, as they had to handle everything on their own. Priyanka didn’t know much, just how to put on kajal,” she shared with the portal. “Lara is an incredible person.”
Priyanka Chopra Jonas, is currently one of the most celebrated actresses, both in Bollywood and internationally.
She has two films lined up for release: the action-comedy Heads of State and the action-adventure drama The Bluff. Priyanka is expected to return to Indian cinema with an ambitious untitled project starring Mahesh Babu.
