Ever since Vivek Agnihotri Rose to fame with The Kasmir Files, there are lots of controversies coming up.
This time, Vivek’s name is being associated with his upcoming film Nautanki which he actually shot during the lockdown with his friends Satish Kaushik and Anupam Kher.
But now, Vivek has clarified that he no longer owes Nautanki which means he’s not associated with this film any longer.
Vivek Agnihotri No Longer Associated With Satish Kaushik & Anupam Kher Starrer Nautanki
While elaborating on the matter, Vivek stated that he shot Nautanki in August 2020.
He agreed to make this film when his friend Anupam Kher asked him to help him with a kind of play that he wished to shoot as a small film. Vivek further said that he helped him with what he wanted without asking for a single penny.
Vivek further said that it was actually the end of his collaboration with Nautanki. He even said that he had no idea what they did with the film after the shooting was finally over.
He said that he’s no longer associated with the film any longer unless Anupam Kher needs any help with the film.
While saying this, Vivek revealed that this is not the first time he has helped to complete a project. This is what he stated, “I do help a lot of people with many things as friendly gesture. To me, filmmaking has never been about money. Earlier also, I had helped Anubhav Sinha’s Zid, which I had left after first schedule and it was finished by director Anubhav Sinha. Later, he sent a cheque to use my name and not to tell anyone that I didn’t direct the film. I refused to take the cheque and he immorally and unethically used my name to market the film. But then I say, it ok, if I can be of any help to anyone it’s no big deal.” he said.
