This is what an industry insider has to say, “After Aankhen, Vipul Amrutlal Shah took a lengthy hiatus before presenting Hisaab. He’s currently evaluating other heist scripts for future projects, indicating he has ambitious plans for this genre.” As the entertainment industry diversifies with genres such as spy thrillers, cop dramas, and comedy-horror, the heist genre is expected to join the trend. With Hisaab, Shah could be creating a ‘Heist Universe’ intended to capture the interest of global audiences.

Capitalizing on the success of his 2002 hit Aankhen, Vipul Amrutlal Shah is now focusing on expanding the heist genre into a broader cinematic universe. The upcoming film will star prominent actor Jaideep Ahlawat and acclaimed actress Shefali Shah, his wife. The announcement, which included a clapperboard photo, was made earlier this month on social media.

Aankhen featured a star-studded cast with Sushmita Sen, Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan, alongside a special appearance by Bipasha Basu.

The film was well-received for its innovative suspense and unexpected plot twists, earning praise from both viewers and critics.
