Today is the opening day of Akshay Kumar’s film in Chinese market and the response was more than expected.
After Toilet Ek Prem Katha collection stood as high as Rs 15.94 crore in the opening day, the makers looked overwhelmed with the kind of love they received from the Chinese audience. It resulted in a good conversion from some other countries as well.
Toilet Ek Prem Katha collection remained Rs 16 crore on Friday. The film was successfully released at more than 12,000 screens. It had 56,000 shows in a single day. The movie was released with the same title star in China.
Trade expert Taran Adarsh tweeted a day wise Toilet Ek Prem Katha collection in China and wrote “Content driven Bollywood movies continue to bloom in China. The movie takes off very well and manages to keep its momentum going in the Chinese market, and debuts in number 2 position.
Bhumi Pednekar and Akshay Kumar’s movie even supports the huge campaign from Narendra Modi where he urged the citizens of the country to keep maintaining cleanness and hygiene drive and also improve sanitation levels in the country. At the same time, he also stressed the need to eradicate defecation in the open. This should not happen at all.
Both Bhumi and Akshay played husband and wife in the movie who didn’t have any option but to head towards a probable divorce, especially in the absence of sanitation facilities in their home.
Toilet Ek Prem Katha in China- The film was released by none other than Reliance Entertainment that let the movie open in to the Chinese market. It also shared Toilet Ek Prem Katha collection in the country and even tweeted “Akshay Kumar makes 15 million Yuan which is almost Rs 15.8 crores in the opening day itself. And this happens to be the 3rd greatest opening in the Chinese market.
With all the above feats, the film failed miserably to beat some other Bollywood flicks on the opening day. For example, Aamir Khan’s Secret Superstar managed to create a buzz in the Chinese market as it collected Rs 40 crore on the opening day.
It was followed by Hindi Medium that managed to collect Rs 22.06 crore. In the same ways, Salman Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan managed to collect Rs 18 crore at the Chinese box office.
