The film is a true portrait of what happened on that fateful night. Since the film’s release, it has been getting loads of appreciation from the audience.

Along with the The Kashmir Files movie success, a number of reactions from various political leaders are also coming forth. One such reaction came from the former J&K Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah. He said that an honest probe of the killings of innocent Kashmiri Pandits needs to be held to trace down the culprits involved in the massacre.
As you already know, The Kashmir Files movie is based on the exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from the Valley in 1990.
This is what Abdullah said in his statement, “If you really want it to be investigated, then launch a probe. An honest investigation will help identify the culprits and the reason why such an incident took place,” he said.
“The Kashmir Files” stars Anupam Kher along with many others like Pallavi Joshi, Darshan Singh and Mithun Chakraborty in their respective pivotal roles. The film is directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Zee Studios. “The Kashmir Files” has been declared tax free in most of the BJP run states like Uttar Pradesh (UP).
The film has been performing marvelously well at the box office. “The Kashmir Files” has already completed five days and has so far collected a whopping Rs 60.20 crore. The day 5 collection of the film was Rs 18 crore which something great.
Most experts believe that if The Kashmir Files goes with the same pace, it will soon enter into the Rs 100 crore club. On the other hand the film is giving a direct fight with other releases along with some other films waiting to release.
