In the recent past, Maharashtra has witnessed a steep rise in the number of new Covid-19 cases. The entire region has become the central point to witness such a high number of cases affected due to coronavirus. Due to such a pandemic, the state government of Maharashtra and some other regins of the country also posed lockdown and curfew to handle the situation.
Due to the current situation which is going pathetic day by day, the state government of Maharashtra has decided to shit down all theatres till April 30.
Coming back to the decision taken by the team of Thalaivi, it was taken after the condition in the state deteriorated further. Take a look at what the team member of Thalaivi has to say in this regard, “As a team, we have sacrificed a lot in making this film and thank every member of the cast and crew who supported us in this challenging but remarkable journey. Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all languages on the same day,” the official statement released.
The statement further read, “But with an alarming rise in COVID-19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone release of Thalaivi,” the statement said.
Thalaivi is based on the life events of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Late J Jayalalithaa.
