Shraddha Kapoor will soon be appearing in Saina Nehwal biopic. By looking at the list of her current projects, it seems the actress is quite busy on a biopic spree.
For example, She will be seen playing the role of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim’s sister Haseena Parker in the movie Haseena.
The actress has now started work in another project where she will be seen playing the role of an eminent badminton player Saina Nehwal.
After she was asked for her comments, Shraddha confirmed about Saina Nehwal biopic, which is going to be directed by Amol Gupta. It will be released in 2018.
Well, the Saina Nehwal biopic working has been started. Earlier, Amol (director of the film) researched extensively on the life of Saina Nehwal and decided to cast Shraddha in the lead role for his upcoming film to be released in 2018.

When contacted by Times of India team, Shraddha expressed her views on playing the role of the badminton player with such a great excitement.
She said that I have seen many girls playing badminton at some stage of their lives and feels extremely lucky to play the role of such a great badminton player who’s also a youth icon for all of us. She said that I can’t wait to begin prepping for the character in my upcoming movie.
Saina Nehwal, while speaking with News Daily, said she was aware of such a film being produced but didn’t know about its casting.
She expressed her vies on the topic and said “It sounds great if Shraddha Kapoor is playing the character as she’s a very talented and hardworking actress.
I’m sure she will perform her best and do justice to the role given to her. The best part, however is that she’s a good friend as well.
That’s why I believe it was quite easier to help her teach a few good lessons of badminton”
Saina Nehwal biopic- Earlier Deepika had showed her interest to play the role
Interestingly, Saina, at an event earlier this year had expressed her wish that Deepika Padukone should have played the role. “Everyone knows Deepika and her father have been playing badminton for years and I have even seen Deepika playing the game. She plays the game too well.
I know she can very well do proper justice to the role and I actually wish Deepika to play the role.” This is what Saina had said then. Deepika who was the part of the event had also wished to play the role.
Saina is currently in China to take part in the Badminton Asia Championship. The Saina Nehwal biopic will be produced by Bhshan Kumar and will be released only in 2018.
