Samiksha, The Sister of Bhumi Pednekar, Shares Her Review of “Bhakshak”: “You’ve Surpassed Expectations, And We Are Incredibly Proud of You”

Netflix’s forthcoming film “Bhakshak” has been lauded as a bold move by many.

Directed by Pulkit and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, the movie stars Bhumi Pednekar as Vaishali Singh, alongside Sanjay Mishra, Aditya Srivastava, and Sai Tamhankar. Set to premiere on February 9th, “Bhakshak” will be available for streaming on Netflix India.

During Tuesday night’s screening of the film, we witnessed industry figures like Pratik Gandhi, Anand L. Rai, and Rhea Chakraborty showing their support, alongside the film’s cast walking the red carpet.

Among the attendees was Samiksha Pednekar, Bhumi Pednekar’s younger sister, who, after viewing the film, was deeply moved. She posted one of the initial reviews of the film, where she also discussed the audience’s reaction.

Alongside a heartwarming picture of Bhumi being embraced by her mother, Samiksha showered praise on Bhumi and the film, stating, “Proud of you Bhumi, you’ve outdone yourself and we are so proud of you. Bhakshak is one of the most important films of our time! A must-watch!

Out on Netflix on Feb 9!” She further mentioned that there was complete silence during the film’s screening, and after the credits rolled, everyone was left teary-eyed. Samiksha expressed that ‘Bhakshak’ was one of the best films she had seen in a while.

Others, including actor Rithvik Dhanjani and producer Tanuj Garg, also joined Samiksha in praising the film by writing notes of appreciation.

The film has been directed by Pulkit and produced by Gauri Khan and Gaurav Verma, “Bhakshak” features a strong ensemble cast including Sanjay Mishra and Sai Tamhankar, alongside Bhumi Pednekar.

It further explores the journey of a fearless investigative journalist who unveils shocking truths hidden within a girls’ shelter home. Scheduled for release on Netflix on February 9, 2024.
