In an exclusive interview, Ranbir Kapoor opened up about his relationship with his father, revealing that despite his love, they were often distant. He said, “I loved my father, but our relationship was distant and far from ideal.”

The Bollywood star described the intense emotions he experienced during Rishi Kapoor’s final days. He recalled having a panic attack upon learning of his father’s approaching death, stating, “I quickly stopped crying. I didn’t shed tears when my father passed away. That night at the hospital, when the doctor said it was his last night, I went to the room and had a panic attack. I was overwhelmed and didn’t know how to express my feelings. I still feel I haven’t fully grieved or comprehended the loss.”

Ranbir Kapoor spoke with visible remorse as he considered their relationship. “I regret not overcoming the distance between us to show him more love and affection,” he admitted.

On the professional front, Ranbir will star in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War and Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana.
