After the huge success of Chennai Express, Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty’s next project, Dilwale, didn’t fare as well at the box office.

Since then, there have been persistent rumours about a fallout between the two. However, Rohit Shetty has now put those rumours to bed, dismissing any claims of a rift.

During an honest discussion with Komal Nahta on the Game Changers podcast, Rohit Shetty addressed the ongoing rumours about a rift with Shah Rukh Khan. He swiftly dismissed them, saying, “Nahi aisa kuch nahi,” and assured that there’s no ill will between them.

He went on to explain, “There’s a lot of respect between us. After Dilwale, we made a decision to launch our own production house. We wanted to produce our own films, even if it meant taking the risk of a loss, although that never happened.

Rohit Shetty explained that while Dilwale didn’t do as well in India, it was still a huge hit overseas. For context, the film was produced by Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan through their production company, Red Chillies Entertainment.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up for his next project, King, where he’ll share the screen with his daughter, Suhana Khan, for the first time.

Directed by Siddharth Anand, the film also stars Abhay Verma and Abhishek Bachchan in their respective pivotal roles.

Meanwhile, Rohit Shetty is focused on Singham Again, the newest installment in his iconic cop universe, which boasts a star-studded cast.
