Yet despite the buzz, neither nomination prevailed, and India concluded the night without any awards.
Amar Singh Chamkila Returns Empty-Handed in Best TV Movie Category
It all happened on Monday night when the organizers held the International Emmy Awards 2025 in NY (New York) City. Amar Singh Chamkila was nominated in the TV Movie/Mini-Series category, contesting against Germany’s Herrhausen: Chile’s Vencer o Morir, the UK’s Lost Boys and Fairies, and The Banker and the Bomb, was the British drama Lost Boys and Fairies, which centers on a gay couple trying to adopt.
Diljit Dosanjh Misses Out On the Best Actor Award
In the category of Best Actor category, Diljit stood alongside Diego Vasquez (One Hundred Years of Solitude), Oriol Pla (I, Addict), and David Mitchell (Ludwig).
The winner was Spain’s Oriol Pla, who was recognised for his heartfelt role as an addict on the path to recovery.
