Pakistani model and YouTuber Hania Aamir spoke out on social media, clarifying that a viral quote about the ban on Pakistani artists in India was falsely attributed to her.

Hania Aamir’s Instagram, along with those of other Pakistani public figures, was blocked in India after the Pahalgam terror incident. In the midst of this, she has addressed a viral claim, denying the authenticity of a quote wrongly attributed to her.

Hania Aamir Clears the Air

Hania Aamir publicly debunked a viral post on social media that falsely claimed she had commented on the ban of Pakistani artists and the blocking of their Instagram accounts in India, including an alleged plea to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to lift the restrictions.

Despite her Instagram account being blocked in India, the actor issued a clarification on social media, and her statement has since spread across digital platforms.

This is what she clarified, “There’s a statement circulating online that has been wrongly attributed to me. I want to set the record straight, I did not say it, I do not support it, and it misrepresents both my views and who I am.”

Hania further expressed, “This is a difficult and emotional moment. My heart aches for the lives lost and those mourning them. We must approach such pain with empathy, not use it for political narratives.

It’s natural for emotions to run high, but we must not forget that extremists don’t represent a whole country. Making baseless accusations only deepens the divide and detracts from what we truly need: healing, compassion, and justice.”

She concluded, “To my cherished supporters, your support is everything. I gently encourage everyone to seek the truth before sharing information and to meet these painful times with compassion and clarity.

In honouring those impacted, let’s choose empathy, honesty, and unity. I’ll continue to advocate for respect and positivity in all my actions. With deep condolences and a wish for lasting peace.”

Hania Aamir’s Instagram Account Blocked for Indian Viewers

In the aftermath of the Pahalgam terror attack, Instagram has limited access to the accounts of several Pakistani stars, such as Mahira Khan and Hania Aamir, for Indian users.

These accounts display the message, “Account not available in India,” with Instagram attributing the restriction to a legal request for content limitation.

In addition to Hania Aamir, several other Pakistani stars have had their Instagram accounts blocked in India, including Sajal Aly, Imran Abbas, Iqra Aziz, Momina Mustehsan, Bilal Abbas, Sanam Saeed, and Ali Zafar.

Earlier reports also claimed that Hania had been replaced in Sardaar Ji 3 starring Diljit Dosanjh after the Pahalgam incident.
