Johnny Brown: Famous actor and singer Johnny Brown has passed away at an age of 84.
He’s best known for his role as building superintendent Nathan Bookman of the 1970 released sitcom titled Good Times. Brown is known to have played the titular role of Bookman until the entire series was cancelled in the year 1979.
The news of his demise was first given by Brown’s daughter Sharon Catherine Brown.
She told to a news agency that he visited to a doctor to simply check his pacemaker functioning. But as soon as he left, he met with a cardiac arrest and collapsed.
He was then taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared brought dead. She also told that the appointment of Johnny Brown on that day was a normal routine. And so, his sudden demise left them with a shock.
This is what Sharon said, “Our family is devastated. Devastated. Devastated. Beyond Heartbroken. Barely able to breathe.”
Johnny Brown Passes Away At 84
As we just mentioned above, the versatile actor and singer got his fame by enacting as Nathan Bookman in ‘Good Times’ in 1975, in the middle of season 2.
Apart from the above, Johnny Brown also starred in 3 seasons of ‘Martin”, Moonlighting, Sister, ‘Family Matters, Archie Bunker’s Place, The Jeffersons, Julia,’ ‘Maude and Laugh In.
Apart from that Johnny Brown also starred in ‘Carry Me Back to Morningside Heights’. It was directed by legendary artist Sidney Poitier.
Johnny is survived by his wife named June Brown, along with his son John Jr. and daughter Sharon.
