As per a news published in Times of India, Golden Globe awards 2022 will be organized without any audience, celebrity Presenters or Tv broadcast.
The grand event which is also known as Hollywood’s biggest party event faces boycott mainly due to ethical lapses by its organizers.
The reason why this has been happening is because of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association which is authorized to vote on the Globes. According to an update, the association has been accused of corruption, bullying, sexism and racism with NBC (television rights-holder).

Those representing film and television industry get honors at Beverly Hills hotel venue was set to highlight “the long-established philanthropy work of the HFPA.”
“Over the past 25 years, the HFPA has donated $50 million to more than 70 entertainment-related charities, film restoration, scholarship programs and humanitarian efforts,” this is what the group disclosed in a statement.
The group further stated that the entire event will follow without the presence of audience. The 79th Golden Globe Awards group showed their concern regarding the rising COVID-19 cases due to the spread of Omicron virus.
The Golden Globes are widely recognized after the Oscars in the entire Hollywood’s films awards arena. But now, especially after such incidences, their credibility is really under scrutiny.
Due to the above controversy, a number of studios and simply participate in this year’s edition in tinsel town publicists.
Along with that some A listers distanced themselves from the embattled group. It’s because they want a reform to be made before they could again take part in the event.
It was only last month when The HFPA had announced its annual nominations with Jane Campion’s dark Western ‘The Power of the Dog’ and Kenneth Branagh’s childhood-inspired ‘Belfast’ topped the charts.
