Begum Jaan box office collection day 3 witnessed a steep fall on Saturday. Vidya Balan film that released on April 14, 2017 is now reported to have been struggling for now. On the other hand, Fast and Furious 8 has become a much anticipated movie and seems to vroom ahead of Vidya’s Begum Jaan.

If we talk about in terms of numbers, Begum Jaan reported to have a collection of Rs. 3.50 crore on 2nd day (April 15, 2017) as compared to the collections of Rs 3.94 crore on the opening day.

Industry insiders are giving various reasons for a shortfall in numbers. Most of them believe this happened due to the occasion of Holiday (Good Friday on April 14, 2017. The situation was more clear after analyzing tweets of Taran Adarsh. Take a look.

“Begum Jaan declines on day 2 (Friday) with 3.94 crore, Saturday with 3.50 crore amounting Rs. 7.44 crore in India. However, he maintained his belief that the movie will continue to see a growth on Sunday and will emerge with a good weekend collection.

As we have already reported previously that Vidya Balan has failed  miserably to give a decent hit in the past few years, which looks quite  evident by analyzing her recently released films- Hamari Adhuri Kahani  and Kahaani 2. Both these films couldn’t create magic in people’s hearts.

On the other hand, director Srijit Mukherji still looks optimistic and takes all this in a positive manner. It seems that he doesn’t get bogged down in response to the mixed reviews from critics.

The reason why Srijit looks optimistic about Begum Jaan box office collection day 3 is quite evident from what he posted on Facebook. It says that he’s delighted to announce that Begum Jaan opened up with close to 3.94 crore, which is much higher than 3-3.25 crore expected.

Further, the film always looked statistically inclined in terms of collection, especially after you compare it with Fast and Furious 8. Well, as you see FF8, being an A rated film and biggest regional release, it couldn’t overshadowed Begum Jaan. We thank you for all your brickbats and bouquets.

As per the reports and views being generated from all over, it seems that Vidya Balan’s starring film is getting a tough competition from April 14 released Fast and Furious 8. The film is an action thriller starring Vin Diesel. Well, the reason is not just one, but could be many. This week, we also have a plethora of other top regional releases that may also become one of the reasons behind the dismal performance of the film.

Begum Jaan box office collection day 3- The film gets a stiffer competition from FF8 and other regional films

Some of the regional films doing fairly well business at the box office include Sakhavu (Malayalam), Manje Bistre (Punjabi), Manje Bistre (Punjabi) and Pa Pandi (Tamil). Taran had also stated the same in his previous tweets that say Begum Jaan got a slow start, but gaining pace in evening shows. A few regional films along with FF8 giving a dent.

After giving you some insights about Begum Jaan box office collection day 3, let’s take a look at the budget of the film. Well, the movie was made on a moderate budget that revolved around Rs 13-15 crore. At present, the film has already recovered almost half from digital and satellite stakes.

In addition to this, the film also gets an approximate tax relief of Rs 2 crore in Jharkhand. So, all these earnings eventually fall in the maker’s kitty. But the film will have to really perform well in order to achieve good numbers at the box office.
