Asuran Box Office Collection– In spite of the fact that Dhanush starrer Asuran was leaked online by various notorious websites like Tamilrockers, Tamilgun, Todaypk, etc, the film has managed to showcase its spectacular performance at the box office.
In the opening weekend itself, the film has proved to be a hit as it mints Rs 16 crore in the Tamil Nadu region alone.
As one of the movie fans, you might be aware of the fact that Asuran is based on a very popular novel titled Vekkai.
Now, that the film has already been released and hit the theaters, it has proved its mettle after grossing Rs 16 crore on its opening weekend in TN region.
As we have already stated above, Asuran has been directed by Vetrimaaran, who is quite famous in directing a plethora of action thrillers, is now back with his yet another creation titled Asuran.
The film happens to be a blood-soaked revenge plot of a farmer who is frustrated after the murder of his elder son and now wants to take revenge.
The Tamil language movie basically features Dhanush among others in his key role.
Dhanush will be seen playing his dual characters in the film as he will be seen to represent two generations and so is playing the dual role in the film.
With so much of action in the film, it managed to impress the audience at large and witnessed a steep rise in ticket bookings in advance.
As per one of the trade analysts, “In spite of the trade experts fearing that the film will fail to attract the audience against such a blood soaking film, the response looks quite overwhelming. Asurn box office collection of Rs 16 crore has proved everybody wrong,” said the trade expert.
Asuran has yet another story worth to mention. It marks the Tamil debut of Malayalam actor Manju Warrier who’s playing the role of Dhanush’s wife.
The music in the film has been given by none other than GV Prakash Kumar and is predicted to have been shot entirely in Tamil Nadu only.
For now, Dhanush is looking forward to a few of other projects as well.
At present, he’s engaged in shooting for his upcoming venture titled Pataas under the direction of Durai Senthil Kumar.
After Asuran, Dhanush has yet another film in his kitty with director Mari Selvaraj. As of now, the South star is all set to begin shooting for this film either in November or December 2019.
