5 Tamil Movies Actress Who Tied the Knot With Their Directors

In the last few decades, we have seen a plethora of Tamil actresses who joined the star cast of a film, performed under the respective directors and later tied the knot with them.

In this post, we are going to enlist some of the Tamil actresses who not only enjoyed their superb Tollywood career but also changed their lives after marrying with their directors. Take a look at some of them below:

 

Sundar C – Kushboo

Murai Maman is a 1995 film starring Khushboo in the female lead. The film was directed by Sundar C. After the film was released, both Khusboo and Sundar C fell in love with each other and decided to get married. They finally tied the nuptial knot in March 2000.

 

RK Selvamani – Roja

It all happened in the year 1992 when the director RK Selvamani decided to cast Roja in his film titled Chembaruthi.

Although, it was a romantic drama film, they decided to work together in several other ones like Kuttra Pathirikai, Pottu Amman, Athiradi Padai, Raja Muthirai, Arasiyal and Adimai Changili.

Sonia Aggarwal – Selvaraghavan

Sonia Aggarwal joined Tamil cinema in the year 2003 with Kadhal Kondein opposite Dhanush.

But the success of Pudhupettai made them reveal their relationship to the media and fans. Both of them finally got married in 2006.

AL Vijay – Amala Paul

After Tamil language film Mynaa registered success at the box office, Amala Paul (who was a female lead in the film) started receiving more film offers.

This film garnered huge success at the box office like many others in the past.

And this is when AL Vijay opened for the first time about his love towards Amala Paul and proposed her. They finally got married in 2016. But their marriage didn’t last long as they separated one year later.

Afterwards, AL Vijay got married to Dr. Aishwarya in the year 2019 in an arranged marriage ceremony.

 

Desingu Periyasamy – Niranjani

It all happened in the year 2020 when Desingu Periyasamy first grabbed a female lead role in the romantic heist comedy movie titled Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal.

While shooting of the film was already in progress, the young directed started having an interest in Niranjani.
