Zeenat Aman Joins Instagram; Says, “Film Industry in 70s Was Male Dominated”

The popular actress who has turned 71 joined Instagram mainly to connect other young artists in their field. After joining the social media, she posted her picture where she looked cool by wearing a casual dress.

This is what she captioned the picture while sharing it, “Laughing at the places life takes me. Why hello there, Instagram.”

Soon after Zeenat Aman made her first post on Instagram, a user was quick to comment, ” another fan commented, “Welcome to Instagram….. looking beautiful & elegant as always.” A comment read, “You look absolutely stunning and elegant.”

The veteran actress shared another picture after sometime. This is what she shared, “In the 70s the film and fashion industry was absolutely male dominated, and I would often be the only woman on a set. Over the course of my career, I have been photographed and filmed by many talented men. A woman’s gaze though, is different.

She further wrote, “It’s such a pleasure to see so many young women working on both sides of the lens today. I look forward to discovering more such talent on Instagram.”

Zeenat Aman’s photographer also showed her reaction afterwards. This is what she shared, “Loved your movies. You were a trendsetter of your time in the movies. You look great,” a comment read, “I ve been ur fan from such long time now…no one could ever match ur style and class…u r just one masterpiece made by God…I love u forever.”

This is what she shared while writing it on her Instagram Story, “Thank you all for the comments, messages and likes. Now waiting @instagram to verify my profile.”

Zeenat Aman is a noted Bollywood actress who worked in many films. Her debut film was The Evil Within (1970) starring Dev Anand. She has played substancial roles in many films during her career like Insaaf Ka Tarazu, Hare Rama Hare Krishna, Dharam Veer, Qurbani, Satyam Shivam Sundaram, Yaadon Ki Baarat, among many others.
