Vishnu Manchu, set to star with Prabhas, Akshay Kumar, and others in the much-awaited Kannappa, recently interacted with fans on Twitter through an #AskVishnu session, answering a variety of questions.
During the session, while most of the questions focused on the upcoming film and their collaboration, one comment took an unexpected twist.

A netizen, perhaps intending a jab, asked Vishnu, “Are you aware that Akshay Kumar has the most number of disaster movies?” Vishnu, sensing the comment was meant to undermine the actor’s vast popularity, chose to respond firmly yet gracefully.
“I’m also aware that he is one of India’s biggest superstars,” Vishnu responded, smoothly deflecting the negative comment while acknowledging Akshay Kumar’s prominent status in Indian cinema. However, Vishnu had more to say.
Vishnu further complimented the Bollywood star, stating, “A brilliant actor with extraordinary comic timing.” His reply reflected a level of maturity in dealing with online negativity while emphasizing his respect for his co-star.
Kannappa looks all set to be a visually captivating film that tells the story of a devotee of Lord Shiva. Vishnu Manchu takes the lead role, while Akshay Kumar will play Lord Shiva and Kajal Aggarwal will portray Goddess Parvati. The film also features strong cameo appearances from Prabhas, Mohanlal, and M. Mohan Babu, Mohanlal, and Prabhas.
Kannappa is slowly gearing up to be a visually captivating film, combining mythological elements with modern storytelling and stellar performances. It is set to hit theaters worldwide on April 25, 2025.
