These days, the spectators have shifted their focus in watching South films. And if they are going to watch movies starring Ajith Kumar and Thalapathy Vijay, then nothing like that.
It now looks that the wish of audience has been granted. It all happened after the release of a high-voltage clash between Ajith Kumar’s Thunivu and Thalapathy Vijay’s Varisu.
If you look both these films in terms of box office numbers, then both are performing exceptionally well. To be precise, they have already shown a good advance booking.
The fact that two biggest Tamil superstar films have been released and the audience won’t like to miss any of the two. As fans of both these stars are very well known for their rivalry, they are eagerly waiting to check who actually wins the clash between the two.
Now, if you look at the day 1 advance booking stats for both the films, it looks like Vijay is winning the race. But Ajith is also not much behind.
As per a report from the industry insiders, Varisu managed to sell tickets worth 11.49 crores mainly through advance booking on the opening day. The above data is only for Tamil version.
Please note that the Hindi and Telugu versions of the film will be released on 1th and 13th January respectively.
Thunivu, the Ajith Kumar starrer has posted good numbers at the box office after selling tickets worth Rs 10.83 crores gross. The figure includes 0.57 crore from Telugu version and 10.25 crore from Tamil version of the film.
Looking at the combined performance of Varisu and Thunivu, both the films have collected a handsome Rs 22.32 crores gross from the advance booking on day 1.
