Former Bollywood actress and Shiv Sena activist Urmila Matondkar has urged the central government to supply more vaccines to curb Covid-19 from the Maharashtra state.
She requested the government looking at the surge in the number of cases in the recent past. Maharashtra is the only state in India which is faring lowest to handle such a peek in the number of cases recorded in the last few days.
Urmila further stated that supply of vaccine in the Maharashtra region is extremely less despite being the most affected region of the country.

“It is sad shocking n disheartening to see the opposition in #Maharashtra keeping an alarming silence over such a serious issue. #MaharashtraNeedsVaccine,” this is what she stated in a different tweet.
The latest figures coming up from the Maharashtra state is quite horrifying. As per the data supplied in this regard, as many as 59,907 new Covid-19 cases are reported in a single day (Wednesday).
At the same time, the state also reported to have gone through the highest number of causalities since the beginning of the pandemic.
