It’s been so long since Kollywood is silent due to Covid-19 pandemic. As fans look eager to watch some big releases this festive season, it seems they need to wait longer.

Due to the ever growing number of Covid cases, the government has no option but to take necessary action against the opening of cinema halls.

Even now, when it looks like that we are going to get rid of coronavirus very soon, you can see loads of relaxations being given to the citizens.

Talking about the re opening of cinema halls in Tamil Nadu (TN) at the moment, the state government has already given the directives to re open theatres from November 15, 2020 with 50% occupancy rates.

It means the movie halls in Tamil Nadu can’t run movies with their full capacity as earlier.

But what have come to light is the fact that no big movies are being released at the moment in theatres. And so, fans will have to wait for more to watch their favorite stars performing on the big screens.

One thing that has come to the notice is that many big multiplexes have started accepting bookings for films in advance, it still doesn’t feature any new movie in their catalog. The reason being the ongoing tussle between theatre owners over the VPF (Virtual Print Fee).

This is the reasons why multiplexes are seen reluctant to play big movies at the moment. Therefore it looks like fans need to wait for somewhat longer to watch big movies in theatres.

For now, movies that proved their mettle before Covid-19 in the year 2020 like Kannum Kannum Kollayadithaal and Oh My Kadavule are going to be released this Friday.

There are some other movies like Bheeshma (Telugu movie), Dharala Prabhu and Hit are also in the slot to be released again in the upcoming week of Deepavali.

For years, Deepavali happens to be one of the major reasons to release movies in theatres. You might have seen how big stars already book their slots to release their films on the occasion of Deepavali.

Considering the ongoing battle between the movie makers and theatre owners, they need to sort out any sort of issues, otherwise fans won’t be able to watch any big release in the upcoming festive season.

It was also looking like Vijay starrer Master may get release on the occasion of Deepavali. But as we reported earlier, the entire team is at the situation of wait and watch to take any decision on the release of their film.

If not, then the release of Master will happen next year (2021) on the occasion of Pongal. So, let’s give some more time for the situation to get normal until we could see all the major releases on the big screens.
