Mumbai police continues to investigate the Sushant Singh Suicide case by interrogating all those involved directly or indirectly into the case.

Shekhar Kapur is the next to be called to record his statement as well. As per the latest Bollywood news, the film director is currently out of the town and therefore submitted his statement in the form of an email.
Although, police has received the email sent by Kapur and is looking to investigate as per the details provided by the latter, the cops still need him to clarify certain points that he has mentioned in his email. As per an update, Shekhar Kapur had earlier signed Sushant Singh Rajput to work in his film Paani. But the film was shelved in the year 2015. It all happened due to YRF (Yash Raj Films) backed out of the project.
Earlier in the day, Bandra Police summoned Shekhar Kapur to record his statement. As per a report published in Mid Day, the film maker could not come to record his statement as he is currently not in the town. Still, he managed to send his statement to the police via email. This has now been confirmed by a senior IPS officer.
Later to his confirmation, this is what he told to the media, “We have summoned Kapur to come and record his statement based on the tweet he shared a day after the actor’s suicide. Also Read: 5 Big Things Happened in Bollywood During The Coronavirus Lockdown
He had sent some details via email which we are considering but we need more clarity on it. His detailed statement will be recorded soon once he comes back to the city.”
Shekhar Kapur had tweeted just a day after Sushant’s suicide that he knows about all those culprits responsible for the actor’s suicide. Take a look at his tweet, “I knew the pain you were going through. I knew the story of the people that let you down so bad that you would weep on my shoulder.

At the moment, police is also considering Kangana Rannaut to record her statement as well. The same was confirmed by the senior IPS officer. The actress had earlier claimed that Bollywood is full of nepotism.
