Star Box Office Collection Day 10 Drops During Second Weekend

Star hit screens on May 10, 2024. On its first Sunday, the film collected Rs 1.1 crore at the box office. This amounts to Rs 16.95 crore as the net collection of the film. The collections reflect the disappointing performance of this Tamil drama.

Earlier, many experts had predicted that Star would surpass Lal Salaam starring Rajinikanth after it enters into its 2nd weekend.

For now, it may be possible that Star might surpass Rajnikanth’s Lal Salaam.

But the reality is something else. If you talk in terms of numbers, you would find that Lal Salaam has made box office collection of Rs 17.50 crore.

But now, it seems that early prediction of Star box office is proving false. It means there is going to be a tough fight to surpass Kavin’s box office record at least for now.

For example, Kavin’s previous film titled Dada managed to register its life time collection of Rs 20 crore at the box office.

Now, after Star unable to gain momentum at the box office, it looks like the film won’t be able to surpass his highest-grossing film in the time to come.

In spite of what the film has achieved so far, it seems that Star would definetely secure its place among the top 5 grossing Kollywood films of 2024.

However, if you look at some of its other parameters, the story will be different. The budget of the film happens to be just Rs 12 crore. As the film has already earned much above than this amount, it has already become an affair of its profitability.

Kollywood is like an open battlefield where so many films release at a time. To continue to hold its position at the box office doesn’t look like a reality. And so, the stumble of Star’s 2nd weekend collection may open the door for other films taking its position.
