Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan will be sharing screen space together for the first time. They will feature in their upcoming romantic comedy to be directed by Laxman Utekar, who’s best known for films like Mimi and Luka Chuppi.
Earlier, both these films were backed by Maddock Films. Now, the same production house is supposed to back the current film starring Sara and Vicky.
The plot revolves around a love story that also has a social message attached to it. As per the story, Vicky and Sara are going to play the role of a married couple who urgently need a house as they don’t like to be a part of a joint family.
The film also features how the couple applies for a house under the government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). It also shows the entire drama how the couple makes themselves eligible for a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Using PMAY, the makers like to send a message in a lighter way.
Initially, the lead role was first offered to Ayushmann Khurrana but then due to some issues, Vicky Kaushal grabbed the above role. As per the update, the script of the film has already been completed. The shooting is expected to take place in different parts of the country like Uttar Pradesh (UP), Gwalior and Ujjain.
Please note that PMAY (PM Awas Yojana) was first launched in the year 2015 with the very idea of ‘Housing For All’. It’s a scheme run by the government of India designed specially for homeless people by constructing eco-friendly homes.
The above scheme helps hundreds of Indian citizens who fall under economically weaker sections, middle-income groups and low-income group families. Under this scheme, the government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi is committed to construct 2 crore houses for the urban poor by 2022.
