Despite Mithun Chakraborty’s legacy in Indian cinema, his sons, Mimoh and Namashi, are yet to make a significant mark in Bollywood.
Namashi, who recently entered the industry with Rajkumar Santoshi’s “Bad Boy,” openly stated that he believes his elder brother, Mimoh, possesses untapped potential comparable to established stars such as Abhishek Bachchan.
Namashi, Mithun Chakraborty’s Son, Believes Mimoh Would Be A Superstar If He Had the Same Opportunities As Abhishek Bachchan
Speaking to Lehren Retro, Namashi expressed his disappointment with the lack of opportunities presented to Mimoh in the film industry.
He remarked, “Being born to a superstar, he holds the potential to shine in the industry, but it seems to prioritize other star kids.” Namashi further asserted, “On record, if my brother had received the same number of opportunities as Abhishek (Bachchan), he would be a superstar today. I firmly believe this.”
Mimoh initiated his film career with the 2008 movie “Jimmy,” encountering challenges thereafter.
His retreat from the public eye is associated with the perceived disappointment of “Jimmy,” a burden that Namashi believes continues to overshadow his brother’s career. Namashi reflected on this, expressing, “Sadly, “Jimmy” is seen as a larger failure than many high-profile productions.”
Namashi voiced his dismay over Bollywood’s hesitance to acknowledge his brother’s talent. He highlighted Mimoh’s status as an “unexplored actor” and condemned the industry for not taking him seriously.
