It was a major setback to Shah Rukh Khan and his family, when a special NDPS court had rejected the bail plea of his son Aryan Khan last week and ordered to extend his judicial custody till October 30.

In the meanwhile, Aryan Khan’s legal team decided to challenge the decision of lower court by filing his bail application at the Bombay High Court against which the hearing will take place today.

The latest in the case is that former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi will represent the case of SRK’s son on Tuesday.

The court is expected to hear the bail plea of all three accused Munmun Dhamecha, Arbaaz Seth Merchant and Aryan Khan in the cruise drug case today.

This time, Shah Rukh Khan (SRK) has taken a bold step by appointing so many leading lawyers of the country.

Aryan’s case will be represented by Mukul Rohatgi, Amit Desai, Satish Maneshinde, Anandini Fernandes along with some partners of law firms like Desai Desai Carrimjee & Mulla and Karanjawala & Co.

Aryan is currently lodged in the Arthur Road jail since October 7 after the lower court sent him to judicial custody for 14 days. He was found red handed at a cruise ship in the raid of NCB (Narcotics Control Bureau) where eight people were arrested.

Right after Aryan Khan was sent to the judicial custody, his bail has been rejected twice. Although no drugs were recovered from his captivity, he was found to have direct connections with an international drug syndicate which was revealed through his WhatsApp chats.

In its reply to the court (while opposing Aryan Khan’s bail application), NCB hinted at the illicit use of darknet to make transactions for purchasing drugs.

And this is what NCB argued last week before the special NDPS court and stated that Aryan Khan was found to be in the constant possession of banned drugs. The investigating agency found at least 6 gm Charas from the captivity of Arbaaz Merchant.

He later admitted to the NCB that they had planned to use it for consumption and enjoyment. In the recent past, we have witnessed so many twists in the Aryan Khan drugs case.

It happened on Sunday when one of the key witnesses Prabhakar Sail took a U-turn from the investigation and revealed that a sum of Rs 8 crore was to be given to NCB zonal head Sameer Wankhede.
