Kriti Sanon starrer Mimi was scheduled to release officially on July 30. But to the maker’s surprise, the entire film leaked online by various piracy websites. The film is available exclusively on Jio cinema and Netflix.
If the reports are to be believed, Mimi became the victim of piracy and was made available on Telegram on July 26 itself.
Although, we see many films leak online on the day of their official release, this one is quite surprising where a film is leaked four days before its schedule date.
After the makers came to know about Mimi’s online leak, they are about to take some concrete steps to stop streaming of the film on these pirated platforms.

Mimi is basically a comedy drama directed by Laxman Utekar. The film’s concept has been taken from a 2011 released Marathi language film Mala Aai Vhhaychy. It was adapted by Rohan Shankar along with Utekar.
Mimi narrates the story of surrogacy in quite a humorous manner. The film is loaded with so many lighter moments. In order to play the character of Mimi, Kriti Sanon had to gain up to 15 kg of weight as she had to go with the character.
The film features Sanon in the role of a pregnant woman on big screen. It also stars Supriya Pathak, Sai Tamhankar and Pankaj Tripathi in their respective pivotal roles.
