During the Interview, Imtiaz not only admired the brillaince of Shah Rukh Khan, he also discussed about making a film with him. According to him, it could not become possible to collaborate SRK until 2017 when he made Jab Harry Met Sejal.

Imtiaz admitted that he was struggling to find a few answers about casting Shah Rukh Khan in his film as suggested by the casting director Mukesh Chhabra. “The producer of my debut film wanted me to cast SRK in Socha Na Tha. I was like, ‘How will I meet Shah Rukh Khan? How will he do the film and if SRK will do this film then why will I need you?'”

Even though Imtiaz was highly nervous and hesitating to take Shah Rukh Khan in his debut film, he has huge regards of him. He has loads of praise for the actor and even rate him high. One of the reasons that make him a big star is that he’s always interested in others than himself.

The one thing which is worth mentioning here is that Socha Na Tha has completed 19 years. It was Abhay Deol who made a debut from this film.

Abhay even made a note on social media after his film contributed quality content for the audience and is celebrating 19 years. In his note made on social media, he wrote that it looked like it happened only yesterday.

He further wrote that it was a great learning curve for him. He concluded saying, “Whilst I’m happy that I didn’t cave into market demands and package myself into a brand via endorsements and P.R, I do wish I was a bit more savvy.”
