As per the latest Hollywood news, HBO Max and Warner Bros. Pictures bag the exclusive rights to Dakota Johnson’s Am I Right?
It will be an upcoming romantic comedy that received positive reviews from the audience on the occasion of virtual Sundance Film Festival held this week.
The plot of the film revolves around Dakota, a woman who’s grappling her sexuality (as per Variety). The latest is that the film will get premiered on HBO Max very soon. But there is no official confirmation of dates from the makers. It looks like fans need to wait for somewhat longer to have that.
HBO Max, Warner Bros. Pictures Bag Rights to Dakota Johnson’s ‘Am I OK?’
The film basically follows a 32 year old Lucy (Dakota) who’s a resident of Los Angeles (LA). After some time elapses, she manages to figure out in her life why she’s not able to do anything more than a handshake with opposite gender. She later finds out why she’s not attracted to men.
At this time, Lucy decides to take help of her long time friend Jane. She tries to navigate coming out in her 30s.
According to Variety, the plot seems to revolve around Lauren Pomerantz’s own life.
The cast of the film includes the names like Sean Hayes, Molly Gordon, Kiersey Clemons, Jermaine Fowler, Mizuno and Dakota.
The film is co directed in the association of Stephanie Allynne and Notaro. It’s written by Pomerantz and produced by Dakota’s TeaTime Pictures, Gloria Sanchez Productions and Picturestart.
‘Am I OK?’ is produced in the association of Pomerantz, Allyene, Notaro, Dakota along with Ro Donnelly, Lucy Kitada, Erik Feig, Will Ferrell and Jessica Elbaum.
It’s being reported that UTA Independent Film Group has brokered the latest deal for ‘Am I OK?.’
Dakota’s Sundance romantic comedy titled ‘Cha Cha Real Smooth’ was recently picked up by Apple TV Plus at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival.
