It’s been almost 3 decades when Netflix brings Happy Gilmore 2 after the original. As the sequel stars Adam Sandler, it becomes the reason to get most attention from the aidience.
The sequel has been filmed mostly in the NJ location. To be precise, Happy Gilmore 2 delivers laughs and heart as Happy returns to golf for his daughter. Don’t tune out too soon, a mid-credit scene adds one more surprise.

Netflix’s ‘Happy Gilmore 2’ Ends With a Twist, Here’s What Happens After the Credits
Benny Safdie’s character, Frank Manatee, resurfaces during the mid-credits. It’s exactly where a parody sports news segment titled Sports Hole With Pat Daniels reports his fallout with the Maxi Golf league. It simply noted that the string of bad news surrounding the brand isn’t slowing down.
Dan Patrick’s character mainly delivers the blow. Not only has the Maxi Golf League failed, but the Maxi Sports Drink has been recalled due to side effects including “irreversible halitosis, gingivitis, along with a new condition called tongue rot.” To drive it home, the segment shows a picture of Frank Manatee.
Unable to get a statement from Manatee, Daniels delivers the kicker with a smirk: “Can’t find him anywhere. Honestly, I’d disappear too if I gave millions of people midnight booty breath.”
Right after the news report, the camera zooms out to show Scottie Scheffler tuning in from jail, where he’s been since his arrest for punching a heckler at the Maxi Golf tournament.
In an unexpected humorous twist, Scheffler is shown unfazed in jail, while a guard notes that he hasn’t used his phone call in a span of three days. Rather than contact someone to bail him out, Scheffler casually asks about dinner. When told chicken fingers are on offer, he smiles and chooses to remain in lockup another night.
Well, the scene feels more relevant. Given Scheffler’s real-life arrest in May 2024, when the world’s top golfer was taken into custody during the PGA Championship over a dispute involving traffic police.
