The 2026 edition of the Pirelli Calendar to Showcase Venus Williams and Gwendoline Christie
The models starring for the upcoming 2026 Pirelli Calendar include Gwendoline Christie, Isabella Rossellini, and Tilda Swinton. On the other hand, the photographer Solve Sundsbo addresses that it will bring the most decent looks of humns with the nature.
Exploring the 52nd edition, “The Cal” features standout scenes such as Venus Williams amid flame-like designs, Eva Herzigova beneath the water, along with FKA Twigs immersed in sand.
Sundsbo, who basically hails from Norway interacted with the leading news agency Reuters and clarified that he always had his main goal in mind while selecting women for the 2026 Pirelli Calendar. As per Sundsbo, he selected women who actually resonated with both in terms of theior past working relationships and age.
“My intention was to work with nature, women, sensuality, and also to craft an approach that avoids mimicking past editions while subtly reflecting the calendar’s longstanding spirit.”
It was in 1960 when the Pirelli calendar was first published. Initially, it had its limited edition that was earlier gifted to some top notch Italian clients.
The recent years of the making of the Pirelli Calendar, the theme has totally been shifted in such a way that it has now replaced its provocative model imagery with refined artistic themes highlighting celebrities.
As per Christie, “The Pirelli calendar has adapted over time, portraying beauty and society in various modern ways. That kind of progressiveness is what I love.”
Leading actors like Adria Arjona, Du Juan, and Luisa Ranieri appear in the 2026 edition. They look accompanied by model Irina Shayk and fashion designer Susie Cave for Pirelli & C. SpA.
