Not only is Coolie setting new benchmarks across the globe, but the Rajinikanth-starrer is also creating a buzz in the rural heartlands of Tamil Nadu, where audiences without conventional cinemas are enjoying the spectacle.

Coolie has been performing exceptionally well with almost every show running housefull. The film has become the top draw at the 140-capacity PictureTime MFR inflatable cinema in Bommidi, located over 300 km from the capital.

Right from the metros to small towns, Gen Z’s trend looks quite similar. While mobile phones are their go-to for regular content, their demand for theatrical experiences with big films is equally strong,” he highlighted during ‘Rebooting the Box Office: Cracking the Code for the Hype Machine, Youth and AI’.

“In the present scenario, there are many who still don’t have access to theatres, but the instant one is made available, like the inflatable setup in Bommidi viewers come out in large numbers,” Chaudhary observed.

The newly opened Bommidi theatre offers world-class facilities—from Dolby 5.1 surround sound and high-definition projection to amenities like a booking counter, generator, and refreshments. Its first screening earlier this year was none other than Veera Dheera Sooran – Part 2.*
