Popular director Selva’s father became prey to the deadly coronavirus. Although Selva’s mother was also tested positive, but he had to admit at the hospital due to his poor condition.
This is what a source clarified the same, “Selva’s father, Bakthavachalam, breathed his last at 7.15am today. The 85-year-old had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and had been admitted to a private hospital in Perambur for a while now. Despite doctors trying their best, they couldn’t save him.
He passed away this morning. His mortal remains have been taken to a crematorium in Vyasarpadi, where the last rites will be conducted.”

Since Selva has been tested positive for Covid-19, he is currently under quarantine with his mother. “The three of them tested positive, but Selva and his mom were put under home isolation. His father had to be admitted after the intensity of his fever increased,” the source further clarifies.
Selva is known to be one of the most popular directors. He got all his fame from serials like Chithirapaavai and Neela Mala.
He has also directed some blockbuster movies like Naan Avanillai, Thotta, Pudhayal, Karna and Amaravathi.
