Jr NTR’s Devara sees a drop in advance bookings after its impressive start at the Indian box office. Read on!
Jr NTR’s Devara kicked off with a fantastic opening, securing the second-highest debut of 2024 at the Indian box office, just behind Kalki 2898 AD. However, advance bookings have dropped significantly on Saturday. Catch the latest updates!
Jr NTR’s comeback to cinemas after two and a half years since RRR has been highly anticipated by fans. The action drama has generated big expectations but has garnered mixed reactions at the box office.
Devara Day 2 Advance Booking
On its second day, Koratala Siva’s film garnered 18 crores gross from advance bookings (not counting blocked seats), with approximately 13 crores coming from Andhra Pradesh (AP) and Telangana.
Unfortunately, there was a significant drop of 64% in pre-sales compared to the first day.
The above trend is common for Telugu and Tamil films, which typically see explosive openings followed by a decline the next day. However, it’s hoped that spot bookings throughout the day will help offset the drop in advance sales.
Devara Box Office Collection Day 1
The official figures are in, revealing that Jr NTR’s action drama has exceeded all expectations with an impressive opening of 172 crores globally. Furthermore, it has secured the 8th largest opening for a Hindi film, accumulating 7.95 crores.
