Devara Box Office Day 1: JR NTR’s Film Surpasses Animal & Pathaan On Its Opening Day

Devara Part 1, featuring Saif Ali Khan, Jr NTR, and Janhvi Kapoor, was released globally on Friday, September 27. Anticipated as one of this year’s most awaited action thrillers, the film has received mixed reviews from audiences following its debut.

Despite this, it achieved a strong box office performance on its opening day. Let’s explore the film’s first-day earnings.

According to the entertainment tracker Saknilk, Devara Part 1 raked in a substantial 68.6 crores from its Telugu screenings on its first day.

The film also managed to earn 7 crores in Hindi, 0.8 crores in Tamil, 0.3 crores in Kannada, and 0.3 crores in Malayalam.

This brings the total first-day collection to an impressive 77 crores. There are high expectations for a boost in earnings over the weekend, with estimates suggesting the film could achieve around 125 crores in global revenue, though these numbers have yet to be officially verified.

Devara Couldn’t Surpass Box Office Records of RRR & Kalki

Based on preliminary data for Devara, Jr. NTR has not succeeded in surpassing the record set by his earlier film, SS Rajamouli’s RRR.

Still, the film managed to achieve the distinction of being the second-largest opening film of his career. Additionally, Devara has also fallen short of eclipsing the opening day collection of Prabhas’ Kalki 2898 AD.

Devara Outperformed Animal & Pathaan At Box Office

Devara is poised to be the second highest-grossing film of the year, coming in behind Kalki 2898 AD, which amassed 177 crores globally on its opening day.

Junior NTR’s previous film, RRR, holds the record with 223 crores in worldwide earnings. However, Devara has surpassed Animal, which earned 116 crores, and Pathaan, which brought in 106 crores.
