Famous rapper Badshah disclosed that he turned down a notable part in Karan Johar’s segment of Lust Stories.
While interacting with The Lallantop, he explained that Johar had initially offered him the role, which ultimately went to Vicky Kaushal.
Badshah shares to Have Turned Down Karan Johar’s Offer In Lust Stories & Good Newwz, “I Assumed He Was Joking”
Badshah shared a story about being offered Vicky Kaushal’s role in Lust Stories by Karan Johar. “Karan described the part as one where the character struggles to satisfy his wife. I reacted, ‘Do I really come across that way?’”
At the time, Badshah was concerned about his public persona and felt uneasy about the role. “When Karan first mentioned it while we were judging Dil Hai Hindustani, I thought he was joking. He later brought it up again, and I ended up declining,” Badshah revealed. “I wasn’t sure if I could handle it. I was very focused on my image back then.”
Good Newwz Comes Up With Another Opportunity
Badshah also turned down a role in Good Newwz, another prominent Karan Johar project that featured Akshay Kumar, Diljit Dosanjh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Kiara Advani.
He later made his acting debut in Khandani Shafakhana, where he played a rapper with erectile dysfunction. “I chose this role to raise awareness, and it turned out to be a meaningful film,” he said.
Ultimately, Vicky Kaushal was cast in the role from Lust Stories, and Diljit Dosanjh starred opposite Kiara Advani in Good Newwz.
