Mirzapur 2– After Mirzapur series starring Ali Fazal was first launched; it managed to entertain the audience at large.
But now, it seems as if they are not able to wait for another season of Mirzapur. This is what Ali Fazal has to say.
It all happened due to the coronavirus pandemic that delayed the shooting of Mirzapur 2. Even before the lockdown, the leading cast had managed to dub a few episodes.
And now, after working remotely for a good amount of time, the Mirzapur team reunited to undergo a dubbing session. Ali Fazal shared a picture of the entire cast of Mirzapur 2 which is expected to be aired in the time to come.
The cast include the names of production team that includes Harshita Gaur and Shewta Tripathi smong others.
By looking at the picture, it nowhere looks that they are not following the social distancing norms.

Ali Fazal who leads the team of Mirzapur shared the picture and clarified that all of them are looking excited to resume the work.
When somebody asked about his experience so far regarding the series, this is what he shared, “We had dubbed a few episodes before the lockdown, so we picked up from where we left off. It was great to be back because this has been an unusually long break.
We shot for the show long back, so it took us some time to get back into the groove. Each actor usually comes individually, but the one time we met was when our times clashed. The studios are on point about their hygiene, so it allows one artiste at a time. So we walked into a pre-sanitized studio. The instructions are given from the other side. Dubbing is a system that was already an isolated job.”
Mirzapur was originally released in the year 2018 on Amazon Prime video. The web series is bankrolled by none other than Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar.
The web series basically reveals the black world of drugs, mafia dons, lawlessness, weapons and much more in the region of UP (Utter Pradesh).
Mirzapur happened to be a 9 episode long web series that starred a plethora of artists including Divyendu Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Vikrant Massey, Rasika Duggal and more in their prominent roles.
Mirzapur Season 2 Release Date
Well, there was always anticipation about the show. This is the reason why the audience are looking uncomfortable to wait for another season of Mirzapur.
As per the original schedule, Mirzapur season 2 was to be aired early this season.
But it was delayed mainly due to COVID-19 pandemic. And now, the entire cast has a lot of pressure to release another season of the show.
Mirzapur 2 will release shortly on Amazon Prime Video.
This is what Ali Fazal has to say about it, “We were always the underdogs and there was always immense love from the audience. But now the show is considerably delayed because of the circumstances posed by the pandemic.
Through the lockdown, fans have been after us. We can feel the eyes on us, and I hope the audience is a little generous. Such great content has come out in the last one year that I will be very proud of being part of Amazon’s legacy.”
Today, the situation due to the pandemic is coming back to normalcy. But still, some of the actors are still testing positive which is quite disheartening.
But Ali Fazal feels that one needs to be smart enough to defeat the infection due to this.
This is what he has to say, I am rather happy going to work. We cannot fall prey to fear or that’s the end of us as we know it. Nothing can come out of fear. We need to be smart, healthy and simply cautious,” Fazal concluded.
